It's over Brown, now go

Finally the charade is over. As Nick Drew spelt out so well yesterday, the Liberal Democrat and Labour discussions were a side track to nowhere. The Rainbow coalition was as likely as Bungle and Zippy getting parts in Hamlet.

So here are the simple facts:

Gordon Brown can no longer command Parliament and needs to go, this minute, to Buckingham Palace. The only alternatives are a Tory/Lib coalition or a Tory Minority Government. Therefore David Cameron is Prime Minister whatever the result and Gordon needs to go and tell the Queen this instant.

So Brown, GET OUT OF DOWNING STREET NOW.

I don't want to wake up to another day of New Labour, we have had enough of this.

UPDATE: HOOOORAY! He's gone, that was really hard, boy did new Labour go down fighting and screaming. Little Dignity from Brown that I could see, despite what the media are pretending.

If you can hear something in the distance, it'll be me cackling like a witch! :)

...it's only tempered by the memory that many, many people were this expectant in 1997, and look how that turned out.

Yup, he has. I got to the point where I despaired of it ever happening.

I thought Labour in the 1970s was bad but Brown and New Labour make Callaghan and Healey look like honourable and wise statesmen. I warned my children that Labour always left the country in a non-working state: now they've seen it for themselves.
