Blog Xmas Drinks 2013

Mr Drew and myself will be going for a drink at the Cask Pub and Kitchen - 6 Charlwood Street London SW1V 2EE - tomorrow from about 630.pm onwards.

In our usual ramshackle way we have only really planned this in the past few hours, time between jobs allowing. Anyhow, even at short notice, we would welcome anyone to come and join us for a few drinks and some hopefully interesting banter...look forward to seeing some of you there.

The chosen venue has a oice 70's feel to reflect our current political and economic situation - however, it does also have an award winning selection of beers and wines to help us commiserate!

Apologies, very tempting but am already under orders by she who must be obeyed.

Lovely, staggering distance home afterwards. However I am curious to know whether this establishment is on land suitable for fracking. If so, I may have to bring a drill bit and a hosepipe along.

fear not, you'll be well fracked

I can't get fracked, but may come along to drill some test holes, if I can escape. I'll bring my Makita and a drinking straw, then we'll all have a fracking good time.

Off topic I understand that some people are actually trying to turn Frack a Fracking into common swear words to illustrate their feelings towards it.

Are you sure they are not Battlestar Galactica fans?

banter started already ...

I can tell the standard will be high

Nick - As I've just demonstrated. If I were coming the standard WOULD have been high.

That's a shame EK, I definitely owe you a pint.

Best wishes to everyone. Please drink your fill on your expenses.

You do all have taxpayer funded drinks accounts don't you?

we are all constituents of yours, Mr Q, and are mustering to exercise our rights to lobby you in the House (and bar adjacent)

one of our number has Tourettes and requires your intervention with some unsympathetic dealings he is having with the authorities

BQ, it's round the corner from the Palace. You could come for a swift half between divisions and then we could all crash at your second home in Pimlico.

Shame I'm stuck in Aberystwyth but you are all welcome to visit The Royal Pier on New Year' day. Bring the goose fat and your swimming gear.

Calling all Capitalists: I am sitting outside on a stylish steel bench with a pint of supercharged IPA, waiting for the crowd to subside.
