  2. Except for the fact that I don't recognise the person, that's me totally humiliated in the art stakes.

Possibly double-humiliated if everybody else recognises him.

  4. *coughs modestly* well thanks folks, perhaps we'll line up some more

Mark - for someone whose first foray was last week (!!) you needn't be getting all crushed

try some really ugly ones, the pencil can let rip more and let's face it we're spoiled for choice

  6. I'm impressed again. Despite having spent the last half of the '90s getting bladdered in the company of YBAs and Turner shortlistees, I can't draw for toffees.

Our Polish art master, Mr Krajewski, used to demand 'What is all dis shmellink, boy?' at my hopeless attempts to improve a charcoal still life by smearing the thing with my finger to blur my complete inability to render proportion and perspective. And I can't play the guitar, either.

  7. I give in. Is it Harvey Keitel?

  8. OK Mark, rising to the bait, I used this photo (+ a bit of licence)

Mr R - seeing as how you are strong in the 3-D visualisation department, I guarantee I could teach you how to make good representational drawings in a single session

(the guitar may take longer, EK's the man for that)
