Poll: 42% Unaware of Something That Doesn't Exist!

Headline of the day - from the Grauniad, naturally, is this:
42% of UK population unaware of carbon capture and storage
It would be entertaining to find out what the 58% think it is.

Still, the conclusion is obvious enough: a re-doubling of efforts to proselytize for CCS.  The model for such endeavours should be this fake campaign established by the Renewable Energy Association:  'Back Biomass' -
"an industry led and government supported initiative to urge the Government to ‘Back Biomass’ power"
Yes, you certainly need a government-backed campaign to urge, errrr, the government ...  Anyhow, presumably this non-existent CCS-thingy should get a trade association of its own ?  Don't be daft, it already has one !  And - doncha know - it's already an Industry !
"The CCSA is a Business Association formed in the UK to represent major players in Carbon Capture & Storage industry"
Not bad for a non-existent thingy.  But that elusive 42% still don't know what's what.  In addition, then, we urgently need to discard the evidently useless 'Office of CCS' at DECC, and establish a dynamic new government agency to advance the cause of this exciting new source of ubsidies technology.  Following the model of the new Office of Unconventional Gas and Oil - OffUGO (sic) - it should have a really catchy name, so ...

Compo !  your suggestions, please, for the name of the much-needed new CCS agency

Foundation for the Entrainment of Carbon, Knowledge, and Alternatives to Fossil Fuels?

    Or "FECK AFF" for short?

    That one's a bit of a stretch...might need a drink now.

Lovely - it reminds me of the non-farming of the non-sheep. It is also along the lines of the Darwin Awards - those who want to drastically reduce CO2 are sawing off the branch of the tree they are sitting on.

The amateur supporters' group is the Credulous Cretins Society.
