BBC Question Time - Are the voters being Reckless ? edition

David Dimbleby presents Question Time from Birmingham.
On the panel are Conservative former chancellor Ken Clarke MP, Labour's shadow health secretary Andy Burnham MP, UKIP's Douglas Carswell MP, columnist on The Independent Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and the political director of the Taxpayers' Alliance Dia Chakravarty.

I make that 2 liberals - 1 labour - 2 ukip.  No Tory.
{even I have given up on Ken. He used to be so good too...sigh!}

BQ predicts -
Dimbleby tie - White with just a hint of purple

1. is UKIP now the established 3rd party of UK politics?
2. EU arrest warrant - left over from last week
3. Myleene Klass and the mansion tax
4. That bloke being banned for 'possibly' inciting some ill-defined crime. {Ken is going to give some home truths about free speech and no right to not be offended.. and the twitter mob are going to burn him alive}
5. Hmm... Band aid or student march? .. But probably some boring NHS is being privatised/not being privatised flam for Burnham-Carswell to point score over.

Your predictions in the comments please. ....

    1. Is Ed Davey right to complain that opponents of his £720million giveaway of money we haven't got are "Little Englanders"? Well, of course he is (this is the BBC after all). Personally I would have called them all evil Fatcherites too.

    2. Is there any chance left for centre ground decency in Britain with the ascendancy of UKIP? The deluded UKIP voters are wacists - weally wacists. What will happen to the NHS? What will happen to the children? What will happen to our cushy jobs when the evil europhobes recklessly win in Rochester & Strood?

    3. USA snow chaos shock horror armageddon. Does this finally prove what 99.7% of climate change scientists have been trying to tell us for decades? That they really have no idea what is going on but we're all going to fry unless we give them loadsa money?

    4. Are the "Beheading Plot" terror suspects inspired by Fatcher? Of course, they see how she closed down all our industry so it's the natural response. No religion, please, we're the BBC.

    5. Are all men rapists? Yes if the vile footballer and the vile pick-up artist get their way. Bicycle anyone?

  8. Timbo is late,
    what a state,
    no time,
    for a rhyme.

    1 Faith schools
    2 Rochester & Stroud fools
    3 Hi-Jacked web cams and more child abuse
    4 NHS something or other being privatised (really getting too predictable)
    5 Bankster's Pay

    No Tie too late but black background and red animals if anything :)

  9. I always feel slightly sorry for any UKIP representative that appears on the programme. It's just attack from almost every quarter.

  10. Dimby has one UKIp - purple red and gold flower tie

    First question. It is on immigration...and UKIP's influence on policy.

    next question is about whether we may see further defections to UKIP in the coming months..

    Mansion tax. Is the tax on 2 million pounds garages.

    Q4 How do we tackle unrealistic expectation and abuse of the NHS

    Q5 Julien Blanc question. Should we now ban Hugh Heffner?

    I think I may have don well

    Timbo - 4 not too bad for a late run - For once the UKIP MP got a fairly normal ride. It was the TPA woman that took the flak. No one likes cutting taxes. especially public sector question time audiences
