    Looks like Yarville to me.

The local council purchased the freehold of the M & S - a building laid out as a department store which is of course just the right investment to be buying right now.

  8. Yeovil was the surprisingly correct response. Not a high street I would expect to be recognised.
About half the shops sin that picture are no longer there.Closed and gone. Its a very bad example of riding the retail collapse.
What is shocking..SHOCKING!! is the Costa Coffee has closed down. Citing ' too high rent and rates.'

That's Costa-500% markup- easy money - pushed rents up ten fold on their own- now saying they are too high.

Not unattractive the two high streets. Though very much a 'C' grade destination. The shops that survuve are quite ugly. Charity-barbers-poundshop-cheapo.

H+M looks the newest and a good look. JD and Primark are Ok. Primark done a very good job with the old, and dark, and oversized Woolworths building. Something we looked at when Woolies went under. We asked who would take over such a monster? The answer was primark and poundland.

BHS remains empty. With zero interest in it as it is.

However, I do have theformulation of a cunning plan. And onc I've mulled it over a bit. And pitched it, i might put it to you all, for consideration.

But Google did. If you right click and use the search function ....

Best guess for this image: Yeovil

What will it be able to do next year? Flatten Yeovil?
