BBC Question Time Competition

With Grant Shapps,big majority Tory seat holder. Cameron's backer and future big hitter. Caroline Flint, Why do I dislike her so? There's plenty of other incompetents in government. Shadow Energy and climate change..Yes, there is a shadow climate change minister. the science is settled, buried and concreted over with a windmill, rainbow energy, subsidised field of dream planted on top for all our bio fuel needs. Simon Hughes, unsuccessful London mayor candidate and unsuccessful Libby leadership candidate. never mind. Third time lucky. Clegg hasn't long left. Benjamin Zephaniah Jamaican Street poet, which since evil Gove decided on school reforms is no longer on the curriculum. And Cristina Odone.Well traveled across the political spectrum journalist. Can be good.

Enter your guess for what you believe the entirely balanced and impartial regional audience will ask of the panel. maximum of 5 guesses allowed. Various special rules apply that are hidden in the terms and conditions even more cunningly than on your mortgage application.
BQ predicts.

1. We're all still in together. but Cameron's leadership seems secure for a bit longer.
2. GCSE resits. That's not what the unions wanted. Or the parents. Or the kids.
3. BAE merger. Now what are we going to do?
4. Abu Qatada - Last time for him, ending a show running longer than the mousetrap.
5. Lowering the voting age. Will it help? 18-20s are already the least likely to vote.

Question Time

Its that time again.
this Libya edition comes from Scotland
David Dimbleby is joined in Glasgow by
Jacob Rees-Mogg, Super rebellious anti-euro MP, who's constituency is next door to Dr Fox. Exactly the sort of Posh Tory MP that Cameron doesn't want in the New Tory party
Alistair Carmichael, Lib Dem whip, from the lefty side of the yellows. Orkney based.
Margaret Curran
,Labour MP from of Glasgow East. Got promoted in the E-shuffle to Shadow minister for Scotland. Which might mean she is very talented or possibly no one else would take the job.
Mike Russell, SNP minister for education {and lifelong learning?} Big hitter in SNP.
Cristina Odone
Dep. ed of the New Statesman. Author of A Perfect Wife {1998} that still has yet to get a review on Amazon. you'd have thought she'd have got at least one friend to do one.
and
Brian Cox,
who I guess is the ultra-labour supporting actor who often shows up on QTscotland.

Of the three regional shows, Scotland is usually the best.
BQ predicts

1. Gaddaffi is dead/alive? Does the panel agree with the war and something about Al- Megrahi.
2. Euro referendum that would allow MP's to begin thinking about a referendum.Why are all parties so afraid of a Euro vote? {SNP excluded}
3. Dale Farm. Isn't there some space in Scotland that the travelers could illegally build on? A heather moor or an old oil derrick or something?
4. Inflation, growth and the poor economy. Are Scots justified in feeling they will be hit hardest by the public sector chops.
5. Wind farms and scrapping of subsidy, feed ins and carbon capture.As the UK belatedly comes to its senses on the damage a high energy price does is the Highland wind farm dream coming to an end?

And if the Dubai-Karachi betting syndicate is watching replace all those with 'the Mong word'- 99% protest-Fox and Strictly Come Highland Dancing

Question Time warm up.

The world famous question Time competition begins tomorrow night. For the benefits of the uninitiated, here are the rules again.

You guess questions from the 4 or that will be asked by the hand picked audience. A point is awarded for each correct choice plus completely arbitrary bonus points for predicting a key word, theme or phrase from members of the panel and a few other special undisclosed reasons. All guesses drop into the comments.

There is no requirement or need to actually watch BBC1 's Question Time. In fact cardiovascular clinics recommend you don't. All you need to do is consider the most likely news worthy to have arisen recently. Compare that to the show's location and consider the panel. Condition your mind to operate as a media executive, Guardian reading, Liberal vegetarian, rating chasing producer might view the world, and you're there.

Or you can do as previous winners have done and just make random,blind guesses.

As an example : Question Time returns on Thursday 8 September 2011. David Dimbleby will be joined in London by
Liam Fox,{defence cuts to front-line troops.}
David Miliband, {why did you allow torture when you said you didn't?}
Richard Perle,{ well, it could be anything! His defence of Israel. His advocacy of regime and then his withdrawal of support when it all went wrong. US congress budget disaster.9/11 anniversary. But probably there for his role as advisor to Mad Dog.}
Bonnie Greer,{could be many things. Riots and poverty would be my guess.}
Tariq Ali { Libya and torture..general Tory cuts opposer}
and Christina Schmid.{widow of the bomb disposal hero. An Afghanistan question. British Council compound attack ?}

The first one is always the hardest as many weeks worth of news are available.

This season BQ will send out some live chat tweets which will be interned directly to you if you subscribe to @BillQuango , or so I'm informed.

So there you have it. Early guesses can be entered here.

"Cry Ad Hoc, and let slip the blogs of war!"

QUESTION TIME GAME RIOTS SPECIAL

"There will be an extra edition of Question Time on Thursday 11 August to discuss this week's riots. The panel will include John Prescott, Brian Paddick, Camila Batmanghelidjh, John Sentamu and Fraser Nelson."

OK, BQ is still trying to get Mrs BQ out of custody after the rioting (she just could not resist when it was Debenhams).

In the meantime for the rest of us, a summer treat. Question Time Special. Now of course we know that the questions are all going to be on the Riots. So the usual game is to guess which questions the BBC producers will allow Dimbebly to pick out at random from the live studio audience in London.

For added spice, a slightly different scoring system with a point for each correct riot question (e.g. itz all the Feds falt, innit?). We are going to be very strict, in line with new Cameronian DemoKracy so no answers like "Police", "Fatcher"

Double bonus for guessing the end question whether it be humorous or another topic. Bonus' for getting the relevant guests answers spot on (impossible with Prescott, obviously)

The panel itself if a terrible mix of mindlessness, incompetent idiots and batshit craziness. They have not even found a Government representative yet, if they even want to. At the moment it is 4:1 socialist loons vs reality so I expect much heat to be generated and little light. Maybe interesting to see whether the 'hand-picked' audience still buy all the lefty guff though or whether hang'em and flog'em gets the claps.

Get your entries into the comments before showtime.
