This used to be a regular feature, not sure why we let it drop.
An RAF Typhoon pilot was flying a mission over Benghazi when, to his surprise, he spotted two flying carpets in his vicinity. Deciding they looked pretty hostile, he shot them down. On his return to Gioia del Colle, the base commander was furious with him:
"those were Allied carpets !"
Hmmm, perhaps that's why we dropped the Friday joke ...

Nah, just trying to change the subject! Sorry, inferences of tumbleweeds and crickets churruping in the distance as people shuffle awkwardly in their seats and stare down at their feet. It was quite a reasonable joke I think i'm just being mean spirited. Apols.
It bloody well is the weekend though - hurray and maybe even cornetto weather!
