Really Mad Men

Weekend fun.

‘Change That Works For You.
Building A Fairer Britain’.

New slogan from the Lib Dems. Any slogan that looks like a spoof of Labour and Tory slogans shouldn't have been considered.
Should have gone to Sterling Cooper instead of Duck Phillips
Would be hard to find a more vacuous one.
But we expect you are up to the challenge..

I offer..

"Changing the way we change the thinking about the changes we will change in the future"

"Creating a future for hardworkingfamilies and not so hardworkingfamilies "

Over to you

Only Tory or Labour could win an election.
The other one is there to allow people to vote against things.

Ralph: The IFS have calculated that the Tories would reduce public spending more than Labour, by as much as one per cent of GDP.

LibDem spending plans are somewhere between the two.

I claim my £100,000.

Haven't we had enough change? What I want is some "un-change"! Lets undo everything since 1972 (EU and all that), and start again.

Sterling Cooper are still working on the posters for Labour’s campaign.
Its been very difficult. Even the legendary Donald Draper has had trouble with this project..

However they have come up with a poster. Think black and white artwork of a familiar sinking passenger liner at sea on a cold, freezing night.

It shows Gordon Brown, dressed in the uniform of a captain of the White Star Line. He is standing proudly, hands clasped behind him, on a tilting passenger ship’s deck, with water lapping around his feet.
He is not looking at the sea rising up behind him, but bravely out towards the dark horizon of stars.
In the background passengers, some in expensive furs, some in third class clothes , are gripping the rail in horror and panic as the sea washes up the deck.. There are no lifeboats to be seen. But the serene captain is unperturbed. He has a fixed and determined expression upon his face. An expression of a man who is only concerned with the future…

I read that advertisers always ran with what the product was not. So Mercedes assured us their cars were value for money whilst Skoda claimed reliability (I'm talking 20 years ago here).

All three main parties claim "Change", so clearly it's more of the same. Do we really, really, really want that?

Some good entries here..
Commendation for John M Ward and Ollie Cromwell.
Budgie is on the right track with sell the sizzle not the sausage.
Gordon Brown's visage on a backdrop of 1p 2p coins working in "small change" may have legs as an internet poster.

I really like Electro-Kevin's idea of banding all the best advertising slogans together.
The 'because you're worth it' with the Bodyform for yooooouuu soundtrack has real potential.

{MW can definitely claim the £100,000 for the minuscule differences between the parties.}

I admit my entry into the slogan competition was rubbish but I'm claiming my £100,000 anyway.

Can't make a decision? Think they're all the same? Vote Lib Dem and get some fresh faces you aren't bored of yet. We tailor our policies to your constituency - because one national manifesto doesn't fit all! In London we'll be pro-EU. In the South West, we'll campaign to get out!

Lib Dem. Because principles don't matter.
