A sad sight on my running-route: this fine oak has lost a mighty bough.
Now I'm not one for omens or portents: but I might just keep these photos in reserve for future metaphorical deployment - who knows what the future brings ? Events, dear boy...

Was there a yellow bird perched in it?
It's an omen, I'm telling you.

Surely this represents the loss of the strong and shapely David Laws to the mighty oak that is Cameron's Government ?
the yellow bird, Bill - oh yes, I snared that, and ripped out its entrails for a close examination
not a pretty sight
oo-err, Mystic Lil - I await further and better particulars at our next consultation; can hardly wait
hmmm, Laban - see pix, it was not very shapely at all
from the second photo, the timber has a reddish tinge ... red wood ?
sadly Mr Green could do with a bit more oak in him.
Don't mourne Nick, it's better that the tree lose the bough than the bough take the tree with it.
If that mighty oak represents the UK, we are about to lose a big chunk of our economy. But we need to, so much consumption, tax and spending was brought forward. It's time to face up to gravity.
Once we've shed the deadweight, hopefully we can go on to flourish into the new century.
Time to sharpen our knives and sacrifice some virgins.
Oo aye, beware the riven oak.
What is going on at this pagan blog? I shall come more often.
You need to take part in a contest for one of the finest websites online. I'm going to recommend this web site!
