Move along, nothing to see here

So in recap:

We are closing down coal and nuclear plants;
Reducing subsidy to Green energy;
Subsidising fracking which is a few years off;
Not building any new nuclear plants on any kind of non fanciful timescale;
Not really building many new gas power plants

and then we small mishaps like this. A mere 50% price jump in a day over a run of the mill incident...

At least the lights will stay on, for now....

Thank goodness we didn't close down all the storage facilities and turn the sites into flats!

CU, I was cogitating on the same earlier, a few unfortunate co-incidences and ... ooops!

So we close Didcot (whether it seems the right moment or not), Sellafield is frozen solid, We have no gas, it's cold and not looking like warming up. We are skint. The banks are all on edge again. Buying gas with Euros/Pounds or whatever looking dodgy by Tuesday if Cyprus goes tits up.

You don't think this "mishap" with the pipe might have happened because last night the papers were headlining - UK only has 2 days gas left?? [Gas merchant rubs hands]

Utter madness. Let's just hope the sun comes out soon!

Do you think Cameron pays, or is capable of paying, the slightest attention to all this, CU?

I know, let's burn more woodchips and build lots more windmills and turn off our lights at 8:30pm tomorrow. That'll save us.

Well here's an interesting idea.

"On 13th March at 11.30am, Learning for Sustainability became an entitlementfor every pupil in Scotland. At 2.30pm on the same day it became arequirement for all teachers to embed it in everything they do to dischargetheir professional duties".

Coming south of the border?

Wee Eck is obsessed with windmills, they are on every hillside from Troon to Livingstone and completely ring East Kilbride.
