Must Be Pole-axed

"The loyalties which centre upon number one are enormous. If he trips he must be sustained. If he makes mistakes they must be covered. If he sleeps he must not be wantonly disturbed. If he is no good he must be pole-axed" **
(W.S Churchill)

That's it, really.

Difficult in the 24HR Rolling Bollocks environment.

Churchill would have needed the cigar and Tommy Gun photoshopped out of the picture.

This is why we got May in the first place.

"But this last extreme process cannot be carried out every day"

Well, this isn't every day. It is time to do the needful.

Once you start looking at BJ's trumpian relationship with the truth, Corbyn suddenly starts looking viable.

Time to install PM Rees-Mogg. The leftie wailing would be immense.

The Observer reports that Juncker advised May to have the general election.

If the Observer is correct, I have only 4 words to describe May - Woman, plot, lost and has.

When the Conservative Policy Forum chairman says May "has shown a fatal contempt for parliamentary opinion" then it is serious or she has a Nero complex. Surrounding herself with people who share her contempt of the parliamentary party and the electorate can only lead to long term damage to the party and the country.

Heseltine yesterday summed up the cost of failure. It's not a soft Brexit; it's Jezza in charge. And who wants that.

She has to go.

I wouldn't take any notice of advice from Heseltine, or Ken Clarke. Their only concern is stopping Brexit.

My main concern is whether the next six months are going to be one long Calvary for Mrs May. You almost have to hope that Juncker et al openly play hardball, but I doubt they'll be so stupid - plus they'll be being advised by the Remain fifth-column - there must be plenty of Blair and Cameron appointees in place.

Back in the day "soundings would be taken" and then the "men in grey suits" would pay May a visit, a dignified resignation and an anointed successor. But the men in grey suits are probably Remainers.

I agree with ND/BQ/CU that May's not competent enough to have deliberately thrown Brexit - but the consequences are just as if she had.

I hope MI6 are checking on contacts between Remainers and Brussels. There's still a treason law.

Is there still a treason law with any teeth? I thought Blair had scrapped it. Very percipient of him!
