Not much posting from me recently, I've been very busy and things will continue that way for, ooh, looks like ... four more weeks or so.A couple of weeks back the long- awaited Tory policy for keeping the lights on was published. It's earnest. Dirigiste. And clearly written by Oliver Letwin. But now is not the time.
No, it's all hands to the pump. Living in the ultra-marginal Croydon Central we have the added excitement of the vain and unstable Andrew Pelling putting ego before party and declaring as an independent. This in the very month he sought to have his marriage annulled on the grounds he was mentally unfit to make his vows. Oh - and after publicly declaring 12 months ago he'd be supporting the new Conservative candidate.
What with high levels of BNP activity on the key council estates here, it could be a 3, 4 or even 5-way split.
To the pavements !

Our sitting MP is excellent, nor did he claim a penny more than he was entitled to. An old-fashioned, local MP, with a conscience that he puts before his party, and a regular presence in his constituency.
I think you will find that all Tory policies have to wait - I expect Cameron to fight this election on personalities and warm fluffy feelings, and I've heard or seen nothing to challenge my expectations.
Does anyone know who Cameron's and Osborne's economic advisers actually are? Perhaps they may have written something/anything that actaully means something?

If you and Cameron and Osborne believe that is all that is required to the run the economy then heaven help us should they be elected. Those of us with a genuine interest in economics might want to know a little more. If anyone can point me to a more detailed Tory viewpoint I'm happy to go and look.
Hmm, so you said you were waiting for "all Tory policies", then when you are shown one that you don't, in fact, have to wait for, you add extra conditions.
Your stance that there is no waste in government spending is unbelievable, and won't be believed.
There are plenty of hits you could make on the Tories, like their infatuation with being governed from Brussels and the fake "cast iron" guarantee on Lisbon ....
