Oh yeah, oh yeah. Howdy Europeans.

1) Europe renogiation and a UKIP pact - should Blighty just up sticks and go to the South Atlantic - good tuna fishing!

2) Tax evasion - oh, what a beastly activity using the law to, yer know, one's own benefit. Something must be done!

3) A&E crisis - we're all going to die, die I tells yee. (I have this on good authority!)

4) HS2 - it's bollox innit, it is isn't it, it's complete bollox?

5) Sex Pestery Oxford styleee. How can we address modern day slavery of such vulnerable kiddies when no one wants to acknowledge it and no officer who values their job is in any way incentivised to sort it.

Good look folks!

Dimbletie - a red hue with black undertones.

Ooops - sorry, can I delete the sex pestery thing and chuck in Arts funding in its stead. Mainly, how can regional arts funding be encouraged in the face of (non existent) austerity and the nature of philanthropy and funding being significantly London based.

- EU referendum - splits and squabbles and why Miliband and Clegg are getting themselves drawn into a typhoon they should stay clear of.

- Beckham, Ferguson, Ferdinand. The golden generation have gone. Tribute tribute..

- HS2. Anyone still believe the figures? Agree with Dtp. Its something we couldn't afford even on the phoney figures.

- Something military -Should the Dambusters bomb the Syrians?

- Something about Google and tax.

All sounds rather boring.

i. British economy on the up - Ed Balls once again blames, "the CUTS!" - economic obliteration avoided [OH NO!!!] - can we have more Labour car crash policies please?

ii/ BIG OIL CARTEL and collusion on pricing - nobody mentions that fuel prices are anything to do with government who take 70% in tax.

iii/ Why isn't Leveson still top of the agenda?

iv/ Guardian shill gets top job at Newsnight - the revolving door between the Labour party, Paul Mason and the Trots at BBC and the Guardian - so why doesn't slam that door shut?

v/ Global warming - is Attenborough right to blame; ozone layer, ocean acidification and acid rain and Y2K and........er BIG OIL?

What a mixed bunch from Charles ‘Line them up, Joe’ to ‘We didn’t encourage immigration, we just got it wrong’ Bryant and shades in between.

1. So this EU referendum private members’ bill stands a 60/1000 chance of being passed. Tories might be behind it, but the Lib-Dems and Labour will prevaricate.

2. Watch Philip prevaricate on the weight of the evidence for chemical weapons. The West does not want to go in there. Russia sees it as the US highway to Iran. Our young men. They shall not grow old.

3. H2S. It doesn’t add up unless you believe the assumptions but hey, twenty years from now is a long time. Already prevarication wins the day, but air hubs are more pressing. Ho hum.

4. Some creative question like do we enrich people’s lives with the arts and don’t the people own Banksy?

5. How do small honest UK businesses who pay tax compete with the likes of non taxpaying, bulk buying, outsourcing Amazon? It is a jungle out there. Tell them, BQ.

Blue, as it is clear skies.

DtP, I expect you to give your winning to charity, Beckham style, endorse a few products and then retire on £200m.

dimby tie bid only before deadline :)

BLACK with a pattern of swirly things

On questions I have no idea at the moment I need to read the news. The Queen might say it has been a "diēs hebdomadis horribilus" [yes I looked that up] since the last question time. My economic outlook went from good to bad to worse, then to V shaped about a hour ago after a long and difficult phone call while the person on the other end did a slow and torturous U-turn while trying not to lose face. :)

No tie

1) OK, EU again
2) Mustn't Hammond just swallow defence cuts like a good boy, so as to defend... A+E services?
3) Should Boris be allowed to raise his own taxes?
4) Oil co's - is BP wicked, or deserving of Dave's support in the US?
5) I've forgotten the rules, is Oxford allowed to be discussed?

Ipswitch.

1 - Europe - has cameron lost it / did milliband ever have it / what are the chances of a reneg of any sort / they all hate because we used to own them blah.

2 - A&Es collapsing

3 - Something to do with Beckham

4 - Immigration is bad innit (nevermind the native stock there have a lot of norse blood)

5 - Green shoots !?!

Tie is Red

My additional prediction is a very ranty audience (I born in essex. They are ghastly. I love them).

Do I get a point for actually watching it?

my Q's after a small celebratory beer.

1) Evil Google/Amazon avoids evil tax using err.. real laws. Is the problem that we should change the laws? or did HMRC not expect companies to read page 10,849 para 2, section iii?

2) Should David Beckham be respected as a good example to all of our young people because he actually stuck with "Do no Evil, believe in what you do" and got a great result?

3) Tory party crevasse ... is Cameron clever or stupid?

4) Should [clever/Stupid]* Cameron Stop The US corporate ambulance chasers busting BP?

5) NHS again? or Syria? Pass errm[thinks] Should the NHS assist Syrian Gas victims before A&E can't cope any more?

* delete according to your opinion

Hopper said...

Just squeezing in:

1. Should the Thames Valley Chief Constable and head of social services carry the can for their organisations' failings, and if not then what are we paying them for?
2. Google aren't paying enough UK tax, why isn't someone doing something.
3. What should be done about oil price fixing, or is it a distraction from tax?
4. Maybe leading on to BP being shafted repeatedly by the septics.
5. Merv the Swerve is heading off, was he a safe pair of hands?

wv: "Titisha youth". Ermagherd.

Erkkk, late again, here goes if BQ lets me .....

1. Tory euro meltdown shock horror: referendum chaos rebellion?

2. Beckham retires - the last great Englishman?

3. Syria - chemical weapons - should Boy Dave invade?

4. RBS share spree for all - are there signs of green shoots at last?

5. France, Spain broke?

Kynon - 2 points - even though he's not here. Postal vote.

Dimby tie goldfish

First Q in advance - If there was an EU in/out referendum tomorrow, how would you vote and why?
- Labour say no to EU referendum as it damages confidence.
Tory says lets work on it.
In fact entire panel said stay in.
That's odd. Mathematically at least 1 should have been in favour of out.

Q2: Was Margaret Hodge right to describe Google’s tax arrangement as “evil”?

This is a real question isn't it? It cannot be beyond the wit of parliament to get money that is made in this country taxed.

Q3: More than 656,000 people signed online petition opposing redefinition of marriage. Isn’t it time government rethought its plan?

Q4: Do you believe new evidence about possible gas attacks in Syria crosses the “red line” for intervention?

Q5: As a woman over 50, is my best way of getting onto television to be in the #bbcqt audience?

Looks like the international betting cartels moving in on a few of the questions. Call the international question time association to investigate.

Gsd - 1 point for turning up.

Kynon - 2

BQ 2 + share the tie with Timbo - 4

Dtp - 6 still pushing ahead +1 for first = 7

Malcolm Tucker - 9 whoohoo! And yes it was boring.

Anonymous - need a name anon, any will do. Good effort call it three for a mixed bag - 3

BE missing - probably still celebrating the Blues win! Superb header Ivanovich!

Measured - superb - 10

Well done Timbo - {we've had 2 weeks of figures that are at half of 2012. And 2012 was nothing to get excited about. Its very very poor everywhere at the moment.}
Bit of a cheat on the last Q so no points , but 5 overall + 2 from the tie - 7

ND - good attempt from far away - 4

Andrew - started very well, then fell like a 100-1 at the big jump. - 4
{Did you watch - pretty dire I thought. The answers were ok but the questions were weird. And not too ranty..usual politically activated mix. Very ranty on twitter - I seem to have subscribed to the anti-Gove teachers network.}

Hopper - No UKIP question? It was in the title!
- 3 though. + 1 for a good google guess. - 4

Budgie - Ok , scouts honour accepted - 6

Winner is Little Miss Measured with a winning 10.

Prize is to decide what current or future public work/building is renamed "The Beckham"

Triumphant Little Miss Measured!

After careful consideration, notwithstanding that even the dome of the Golden Temple in Amritisar was a contender for this award (although there is only one dome and one assumes there are two golden balls), it is by decree that the National Gallery at the top of Trafalgar Square must be handed over to Lord and Lady Beckham, to be painted gold and renamed Beckham Towers. I hope this meets with your collective approval.

Trust the dimbletie to be my favourite. Great last question. It was Gatsby in 3d for me. Such a surreal lavish theatrical production, but the story saves it. Poor Gatsby.

Thankyou - I had Buckingham Palace earmarked. Cheaper that way .

Replace the U with an E and a some pots of Farrow and Ball "Czarina Gold" and we're done.

I like Beckham. Was going to do a post before I remembered C@W reader's aversion to football.

Except BE of course. "Go Joe"
