Question Time - riot in the square edition

My favourite clip of Question Time. - Well worth a look.

David Dimbleby presents Question Time from Basildon.
On the panel are: Danny 'the muppet' Alexander MP, Liberal Democrat chief secretary to the Treasury; Labour's Margaret 'Hypocrite Tiny, tiny, tiny' Hodge MP, chair of the Public Accounts Committee; Dr Sarah Wollaston, Conservative {well -independent really} MP for Totnes; actor and television presenter, Tony 'What happened to the Sir?' Robinson
and contributing editor of the Spectator, Douglas 'Andy' Murray.

Not long now-
EDIT - THIS IS THE LAST SHOW OF THE SEASON!
Yeahh!

1. Is Egyptian democracy better handled by their military?
{i've seen a few people claiming this will give us a chance to sell them arms. I doubt it. Egyptian military money mostly goes on soldiers salaries. Those APCs in Tahir sqaure last night were over 50 years old.}
2. Immigrants. The NHS should be free at the point of entry.
3. Weak, weak, weak Miliband and his dull squabbles with the unions.
4. Something about windfarms and the tax on green energy.
5.  Tough show - No real news at all this week - lets say shopper's on phones treat checkout staff no better than slaves.

I'm pegging my win on the 5 points for a green and blue Dimbletie.

Whey hey hey - By Anubis' testicles, by Ra's kerjubblies, we shall have peace within this realm!

1) Egypt - can we have some of that democracy please, Gordon the Ruiner could have been hung by now!

2) Capital financing project - for Danny, Lord of Alexander, slayer of err..a spider once, can wax irrelevantly and bore everyone to tears - hurray! HS2 etc etc

3) Tax avoidance, for Margaret, Princess of the Hodge can conveniently forget that she's a duplicitous shit without a shread of self awareness and i'm pretty sure a decent alcohol habit.

4) £200 nicker for immigrants to access the NHS - why not, £200 to die slowly, painfully alone of dehydration, festering in your own shite seems reasonable, really!

5) Hmm...selection problems - Labour's UNITE and Wollaston's open primaries. Probably not, I think it's only anorak wearing nerds like me who would give a toss.

Hmm. DimbleTie - a summery affair - a light pinkish number speckled with blue stuff.

Good luck folks - come the err..revolution that's not a revolution but may look like one, perhaps.

WTF is 3.44?

Hi all. I think I'm getting q-time quiz fatigue - this must be the longest run ever!

1) Is the BBC institutionally-biased? Group-think due to proximity etc. Can we have loads more lengthy, expensive reports that state the bleeding obvious please?

2) Classification of qat as a class C drug - Homesec ignoring the drugs board ppl yet again - why bother having them? (really good & funny story in the Guardian by Nutt on this).

3) H2S white elephant - surely a better use for our money could be found?

4) Immigration: A fleeting non-issue as the LibDems suggest or a real one with significant monetary/social costs that's here to stay? Are the proposed NHS restrictions an attempt to bring Identity Cards in by he back-door? If not, how on god's green earth will it work? [sorry, almost slipped into rant mode there!]

5) What lessons can be drawn from Leveson given that GCHQ/NSA et al have been doing the same thing but on a massively enlarged scale?

Dimbletie = red & blue.

[If Danny is "Beaker", could Hodge be "Miss Piggy"? And who could we get to play "Kermit" - Ah, Sir Tony, a moment please...]

Essex heartland and only blue once in the past decade. Purple patches springing up close by and a UKIP target I would think.

Hodge might get a roasting or strong support. Difficult to say.

1. Will My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding get Pickles in a pickle. Should Travellers be allowed to be stationery in the Green Belt

2. Is the NHS being ruined by all the additional workload. Is £2000 enough.

3. What can TOWIE teach the Eygptians?

4. Would our Army do a better job and should the HoC move to Colchester.

5. Why are Free schools so expensive.

Evenin' all.

Dtp feeling the pressure. Er, .....maybe not.

1. Show us your privates. Should there be privacy?

2. Is anyone in favour of HS2?

3. The cost of coaching NHS bigwigs before they face the Accounts Committee when we could have treated some immigrants with this.

4. Some inane question about Labour and the economy.

5. History attempts to teach us the same lessons but we never learn. The Middle East. Power to the people. I smiled when I saw the Islamists have told their people to demonstrate this evening when the people are going to demonstrate anyway.

Following Taff's dessert theme, raspberry ripple.

Oh lawdy.
Dimbytie - Lib dem yellow.

- HS2 - Is going to be the new Torres.
- Egypt - aren't they just back where they started? is that so bad?
- NHS 111. Its falling to bits because of Tory cuts
- Has Labour adopted the Tories free school ideas? {yes - because they were labour's anyway.}
- Immigrant and hospitals and jobs and schools.

dimbletie = surprisingly conservative blue jobber

1) what's up with Egypt - and can we really send that nice Mr Abu back to Arabialand, what with all those mad Arabs 'n all ?
2) can't be dodged: should forrinners pay for NHS ? and what about all the other trouble it seems they cause - schools, TB, social tensions etc. No really, we are allowed to say this now, the Home Office Report says so
3) should t'unions be allowed to fix Labour selections ? (well someone has to ...)
4) can TA reserves ever really do the job of Regular soldiers ?
5) something about badgers

1. Are the peace-loving Muslim Brotherhood being undermined by evil Thatcherist, neo-colonial, militarist forces of reaction? Can Egypt ever hold its head up in the progressive, Obarmiest, socialist salons of the world again? (Ans on a postcard to Dave Spart c/o The BBC).

2. Falkirk shock, horror, armageddon - Tom Watson resigns/was pushed for bending the rules/defending the working class/promoting his mates in stitch-up/impartial investigation by decisive/indecisive Ed Millibore in his brotherly/vindictive fight/support of Unite/dis-Unite's own Len In/McClunkski. Who cares anymore?

3. The BBC should be defended against all its rancid Thatcherist ultra-rightwing attackers as it gets latest clean bill of health for being the most truly impartial GMG broadcaster ever, in the Universe. Anyone who says different shows how right-wing they are.

4. House price inflation highest for three years. Is this due to the wicked Osborne finally being forced to adopt Saint Ed Balls' plan B? Or is it due to a looming election? Ans on a postage stamp to: Budgie c/o The Arches, New St Station, Brum.

5. Should some people be put in prison for overfilling their kettles? Frankly how ant-social can you get? Underfill your kettle and prevent climate change doom from destroying the entire planet! CP Inspectors will be on your doorstep soon, checking your kettle!! (Anyone caught will have to adopt-a-windmill as well as risking imprisonment!!!)

1 Now that William Hague has told us it is in British interests to help kill Shia, Christians, Druze, Sufis and Alawites in their thousands will we be sending in our army to fight the Egyptian military (as they are rather getting in the way of that plan)?

2. Who is more embarrassing to the Labour Party: Len McCluskey, Ed Miliband, Tom Watson, or Owen Jones?

3. Should local authorities do more to prevent child abuse in children's homes..Margaret?

4. Is Baby Cambridge a girl?

5. Would it be a good idea to take a lead from Greece and shut down our public broadcaster to save money?

Tie: Spotted Dick

1. How much influence in the Labour party selection is it proper for the unions to have?
2. Egypt yadda yadda popular revolt yadda yadda.
3. How much spying is proper for governments?
4. Time to raise interest rates and deflate house prices?
5. If it's Hodge it must be something about tax. (How much tax should you have paid, Mags?)

Late again, but following the last few weeks trend I need last week's news!

However:
1) Egyptian military democracy!

2) Portuguese finances is this actually a domino waiting to fall?

3) Canadian banker advice, should we take it? Interest rates: Thanks for the FTSE rise Mr. Carney! But pensioners need rises and more)!

4) Labour and unions, Is Ed right to get tough with unions when the workers are skint?

5) Did we have spying last week? No OK Spying and the European thing!

Tie: Black (again) with yellow bits.

Blue Eyes said...

Damn, just got in. Tie: mauve? For a change.

Umm. This was filmed during the week.

Economy turning up? Can we safely vote Labour again?

Will the new Governor be able to solve problems that staid old Merv could not?

Horsemeat?

I give up.

Dimby tie - black with pink and green flowers.

First question - How can MPs justify a pay rise when rest have run out of notches on our belts to tighten?
-Where to begin! Lets just say Its our l'Oreal factor.

Q2: How much control over the Labour Party do the unions really have?

Len McTrotsky and the Unite of the long knives. Miliband admits he may have been Röhm.

Q3: Will £200-a-year NHS levy on non-EU migrants crackdown on Health tourism?
Its a start. Some uber lefties have gone mental saying it won't save much money. That's the public/private conflict. in private sector 3% cost savings are an annual occurrence in a BOOM.

Audience lady even said so "..Awww Labour are always afraid to start somewhere."

Q4: Can a military coup and the overthrow of a democratically-elected president ever be justified?

I dunno - lets ask Unite when they topple Miliband in 2015.

Anyway ...

Budgie said...

Are you sure you have got those scores right, BQ? Personally, I'm all in favour of MPs salaries being doubled, but only for those MPs whose surname begins with a Q!

DtP said...

And Budgie, due to late postal votes from Falkirk, sneaks in with a bonus score of 16,412 - well, who'd have thought it, back to you in the studio!
